Firefox 3.5 Preview – Whats New
I am a regular user of Firefox and I downloaded Firefox 3.5 beta versions as soon as they were released. Recently Mozilla released Firefox 3.5 Preview for all its 3.5b4 users and that includes me.
If you are a Firefox 3.5b4 user then ‘Check for Updates..’ by clicking on the Help menu in the title bar.
Read the announcement in the Mozilla Blog.
I tried out the Preview. 3.5 Preview users would be updated automatically to Release Candidate version once it is available.
The new Private Browsing Mode and the updated Clear Recent History function are great tools to keep your browsing habits a secret. It helps you in covering your traces especially when you are using shared computers.
Another new feature of Firefox 3.5 is that it offers the ability to tear tabs from the tab bar to create new windows. We can also drag and drop tabs from one window to another easily. This is one cool feature which I really liked and I feel it’d be useful for me.
We now do not need an external plugins or a media player to watch videos in Firefox.

does FF3.5 has any enhancement in terms of the (blank) new tab experience?

No… It still opens a blank new tab.. And I feel that is better since when I open a new tab it opens faster.. If you compare it with Chrome, you’ll see that chrome takes a bit of time to load the speed dial screen.
